Positive Signal from Washington to Damascus
Syrian sources report that the US-led international coalition has shared the outcomes of its recent fieldwork with the Damascus government. According to these accounts, the coalition conveyed the results of meetings it held with Arab tribal leaders in areas controlled by the YPG/SDF.

The coalition reportedly informed Damascus that the tribes had expressed support for the deployment of Syrian government forces in the region. Notably, representatives of the Shammar tribe—long considered allies of the YPG—were said to have voiced their backing for the legitimate government’s army to take over security responsibilities.
At the same time, sources recalled that an agreement was signed between Ahmed al-Sharaa and YPG commander Mazlum Abdi. However, despite the accord, no tangible progress has been made on the ground.
