Türkiye Continues to Incorporate Next-Generation Electronic Warfare Systems into Its Inventory
In today’s world, where conventional warfare paradigms are rapidly giving way to all-round and hybrid threats, electronic warfare systems have become one of the most critical capabilities of modern armed forces. Through intensive research, development, and system design efforts, Türkiye ranks among the select countries that develop, operate, and integrate electronic warfare technologies into their operational doctrines.

By inducting developed systems into service and continuing the development of new ones, Türkiye is strengthening its position in the field of electronic warfare, implementing a new joint electronic warfare and network-centric deterrence doctrine, and incorporating new electronic warfare systems into its inventory for this purpose.

During a recent press briefing held by the Ministry of National Defense of Türkiye, it was announced that the Turkish Land Forces have inducted an unspecified number of next-generation MİLKED-3A3 electronic warfare systems into service.
In his statement, Rear Admiral Zeki Aktürk, spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense, emphasized that the defense capacity of the Turkish Armed Forces is being strengthened, modernized, and made more effective with each passing day.
Aktürk stated, “In this context, the MİLKED-3A3 Electronic Support Systems, in various quantities, have completed inspection and acceptance procedures and have been added to the inventory of Turkish Land Forces.”

MİLKED-3A3 Electronic Support System
Developed by ASELSAN, the MİLKED-3A3 V/UHF Electronic Support System is designed to provide Electronic Support (ES) against target communication systems operating in the V/UHF frequency bands across various platforms.
It is employed for the detection and monitoring of hostile V/UHF band communications, determining the direction and location of signals, listening and analyzing signals, and ultimately providing tactical advantages to friendly forces in the field.
The MİLKED-3A3 System is ergonomically integrated onto a 4×4 vehicle platform according to user requirements. This includes the system shelter, climate control units, antennas, primary power generator, and all necessary equipment. Due to its fully vehicle-mounted configuration, the MİLKED-3A3 offers high mobility in tactical environments and can relocate rapidly after completing a listening mission.
